Who makes a better Spiderman? Andrew Garfield vs. Tobey McGuire
The first official image of Andrew Garfield as Spiderman has become available showing us school student Peter Parker on his first days as Spiderman.
Andrew follows in the footsteps of Tobey McGuire who once portrayed the famous comic book hero in three Spiderman movies, the last released in 2007.
Loking at both depicters it’s easy to spot differences – firstly, it’s about the costume. Garfield’s Spiderman costume has been deliberately designed to look different from Tobey’s – everything about this suit is different – another material, another Spiderman logo on the chest, another shade of color, etc. Secondly, it’s about the actors and their bodies. The movie producers want Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman look much slimmer than Tobey McGuire’s as if show that this character is younger (the first promo poster even features Andrew with a bag behind his back to remind us he’s still a school student in the new movie.)
Tobey McGuire made a great Spiderman. He was great because he was the one and only Spiderman we’d ever seen on big screen. Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman seems quite appealing – he’s cute, he’s young and he’s hot. So I’m Team Andrew Garfield.
Your thoughts, who makes a hotter Spiderman – Andrew Garfield or Tobey McGuire?
Andrew Garfield-starring yet-to-be-titled Spiderman reboot is set for release on July 3, 2012 in 3D.

As far as I can tell from the trailer and a making of of this Spiderman reboot, Andrew Garfield seems entirely miscast. He does not make a good Peter Parker/Spiderman AT ALL.
Tobey is the man Don’t get why they thought they had to make a reboot, when in a way the Spiderman movies with Tobey were already a reboot of the old Spiderman. I also heard that there was going to be a Batman reboot with Ryan Reynolds. I hope that is not true, because Reynolds would be an AWFUL Batman. Just seeing the trailer for his Green Lantern movie made me laugh so bad, because it was so awful.

Not only was Tobey McGuire a terrible spiderman, he is a terrible actor in everything other than seabiscut because all he had to do was be short.

Tobie is a much better actor then Andrew. Tobie is much nicer and smart. Andrew is so stupid he is such a bad actor. He is also mean which doesn’t fit being a hero. I wish tobie would come back for us. Tobie could also act mean like in spider man 3 and he could act nice like in all the spider mans. Andrew takes a while to attack the enemy like in the trailer. He acts so afraid then attacks. Tobie just attacks right away.
Tobie will always be the best spiderman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

andrew garfeild is way way way better than maguire. also tobey is 37 years old and andrew is 29 years old. this reboot is better in every way exept the villain, the lizerd is such a loser villian, they should have done carnage or mysterio even vulture would be cool! but anyways the plot is better, the cast is better exept aunt may and uncle ben, the cg is better, and the action is better. tobey maguire movies i`ll admit i loved them but compared to this reboot it`s terrible. even the game is better!

Toby Mcguire is in my opinion, the better spiderman. Spiderman is supposed to be a nerd that gets superpowers. Andrew is not only inexperienced as an actor in comparison, he also lacks the overall nerdy side of spiderman that was crucial to his character. Andrew isn’t actually hot either, he’s more early teen girl hot, basically fan girl fodder, they needed to cast someone who could really show us the transformation in Parker’s confidence and personality, he can’t be hot to begin with!
