The Emmy Awards Nominees 2011
The Emmy Awards is known as an award for TV productions which embraces different areas such as documentaries, news, sport programs, soap operas. Recently Melissa McCarty, Joshua Jackson and the chairman of Academy of Television Arts & Sciences John Shaffner announced the nominees of the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony will be held on 18 September in Nokia Theatre, LA, with the “Glee” star Jane Lynch being a host.
The Emmy nominee leader is a movie serial about the life of divorced woman during the Great Depression Age called “Mildred Pierce”. It got 21 nominations. The second position in the top of the highest number of Emmy nominations holders occupied the “Mad Men” soap which received 19 chances to win the award. “Mad Men” has already won three Emmy awards as the best drama series. Will it gain recognition this time?
The leader #3 is “Broadwalk Empire” holding 18 nominations. “Broadwalk Empire” depicts the genesis of gambling industry in Atlantic-City during the age of Prohibition in 1920-s. Martin Scorsese contributed to this film as a producer and a director of the pilot series. Another star involved into the project is Steve Buscemi who plays the major role in the drama series.
