Taylor Swift Wants Joni Mitchell Role in Biopic

Real-life singers portraying other singers on screen is not a new trend: Jennifer Lopez in Selena, Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls, Eminem in 8 Mile, Britney Spears in Crossroads and so on and so forth. Sure, some of them played okay, but most singers playing singers showed plain mediocre acting skilss! Variety reports that country pop singer Taylor Swift is in talks to play the iconic Joni Mitchell in an adaptation of Sheila Weller’s book Girls Like Us. Taylor Swift as Joni Mitchell..? No way!! There are many talented actresses that can sing to play that part. Someone needs a reality check! Geez, that girl can’t sing or act. I guess if they give Taylor Joni’s role the movie is gonna be a huge flop!

Taylor Swift allegedly wants to portray another famous singer songwriter, Joni Mitchell in upcoming biopic.

From what I’ve seen of Taylor’s acting chops (Valentine’s Day) the girl can’t act worth beans. I will boycott this movie if Taylor Swift plays Joni! Seriously!

Btw, don’t you have to be able to sing to portray a singer in a movie? Taylor Swift will really have to rely on Auto-Tune to pull this off, just like she does on every record she makes… She can’t sing or carry a tune, , I don’t believe the producers of this film are this stupid, but you never know do ya!

Okay, Swift looks a little bit like Joni. But she does not have the voice or the spirit to play the iconic Joni. There’s got to be someone better.
