Next Chapter Of Bridget Jones’s Diary?

Renee Zellweger finally agrees to play Bridget Jones one more time. The gossips about the next part of Bridget Jones’s Diary were circulating for several years; however Renee Zellweger withheld her consent. Maybe a reason of her doubts was the fear to gain weight?

I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you long-term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time.

It took seven years for Renee Zellweger to finally decide to take part in the movie but this time she won’t experiment with her weight! Does it mean we will see skinny Bridget? No, chubby Bridget won’t disappear. For making Renee look fatter, so-called “fat suits” will be used.

The movie is based on Helen Fielding’s best-selling novel. The writer has already begun writing the third book.

I will be working on both the book and the film but I don’t know if they are the same thing yet. It’s not been decided.

What about Colin Firth and a “charming villain” Hugh Grant? Both actors haven’t yet confirmed their participation in the movie. However Colin Firth made speculation on the possible plot-line:

I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can’t have children, I think that’s the way it goes on. So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she’s left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?

The first Bridget Jones movie was released in 2001 and earned $281 million worldwide. The second film, The Edge of Reason, came out in 2004 and gained $282 million.
