More liqueur and huge pants. Bridget Jones is back

I loved the first two parts, hope the third installment will be as funny and want-to-watch-it-again as the previous ones.

The rumor has it, Renee Zellweger is going back to her fuller shape for Bridget Jones 3.

First Bridget Jones based on the best-selling series by Helen Fielding hit theaters in 2001 making as much as $350 million worldwide. The second installment, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, was released in 2004 and grossed some $330m again. The producers are apparently hoping to repeat the success.

Renee Zellweger has already agreed to take part in the project but it’s not known if her male co-stars Hugh Grant and Colin Firth will do the same. As to me, Bridget Jones won’t be the same without them.

This new Bridget Jones will be slightly different. While the previous parts showed a singleton Bridget longing for love, this part will chronicle her attempts to start a family with Marc Darcy (Colin Firth). Jones is 40 and her biological clock is ticking.

The production is set to start later this year.

Bet Renee will shed the Bridget Jones pounds as quickly as she’s already done before. I give her two months maximum. Your thoughts? You can start betting now!
