Actress-turned-singer Leighton Meester is here with her new song, ‘Summer Girl,’ from the new movie Country Strong, out in January 2011.

I come to realize that I really really like Leighton Meester’s voice, she’s a good singer and she looks beautiful in Country Strong.

In the movie Leighton plays an aspiring Dallas beauty queen turned country singer.

In related news, Country Strong writer/director Shane Feste said the movie was inspired by Britney Spears’ public meltdown of 2007 – early 2008.
