Jude Law is a beautiful woman

When I showed this picture to my friend who doesn’t know a lot of celebs by face, she said she liked the girl’s face but she didn’t like the hair…. You should have seen her face when I told her it wasn’t a woman but one of her fave actors, British heart-throb Jude Law.

This vamp woman with pink lipstick, sexy smoky eyes, raven black locks and alluring look is Jude’s latest transformation for his new movie, Rage, that’s out later this year. Law plays a transvestite supermodel called Minx.

Jude Law, whose beauty has sometimes been held against him as an actor, made the courageous decision to accept the role of Minx – a “celebrity super-model'”and took on a kind of hyper-beauty for this persona… a “female” beauty which gradually unravels as the story unfolds. Strangely, the more he became a “she”, coiffed and made-up – the more naked was his performance. There was great strength in his willingness to make himself vulnerable. It was an extraordinarily intense part of the shoot,” Rage‘s director Sally Potter said, praising the actor for his brilliant performance.

The film also stars Dame Judi Dench (Quantum of Solace) and British super model Lily Cole. Dench called the film “without question, the most unusual piece of work I’ve ever done.”

It’s going to be something definitely worth seeing! Portraying Minx must be a pretty risky venture for the actor, but surely something different from his role as Dr. Watson for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes.

Rage will premiere later this month at the Berlin International Film Festival and is even nominated for the prestigious Golden Berlin Bear prize.
