J Lo’s backup plan

The wait is over as well as her prolonged maternity leave. The Backup Plan starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin (Moonlight) marks J Lo’s comeback to the big screen after giving birth to her twins in February 2008.

Ironically, the film is also about pregnancy and twins. It’s not known if this fact was the crucial for Jennifer to agree to do the movie.

Having twins is basically the only thing Lopez and her character Zoe have in common. Unlike Jen, Zoe is an ordinary New Yorker with a pet store she runs and a fear of not finding her Mr. Right while the biological clock is ticking.

Losing all hope to meet the right guy to start a family with, Zoe turns to artificial insemination and eventually conceives twins.

The same day she falls pregnant she meets Stan (O’Loughlin), a perfect guy she’s always been looking for.

The Backup Plan hits movies on April 16, 2010.
