From around the web: Real reason why Megan Fox left ‘Transformers’

The third installment of Transformers, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon will hit theatres on June 29 with many looking forward to seeing Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley play Shia Labeouf’s new love interest after replacing Megan Fox in the project. Megan left Transformers to pursue new career opportunities, at least that’s what she said in 2010. The movie’s director Michael Bay has finally opened about the real reason why Fox left the movie – Transformers’ producer Steven Spielberg fired her for comparing Bay to Hitler.

You know the Hitler thing. [Steven Spielberg] said, fire her right now,” Michael Bay said.

In his interview earlier this month Megan’s former co-star Shia Labeouf revealed what he thought was the reason for her to leave Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. He said she couldn’t handle the way “tactless” Michael Bay treated her on the set.

Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment stuff that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women. It’s Michael’s style. And I think she never got comfortable with it,” Shia told the Los Angeles Times. “[Megan Fox] was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact: ‘There’s no time for… I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.’”

Megan Fox dropped the Hitler bomb in 2009 comparing Michael Bay to Napoleon and Hitler and adding he was “a nightmare to work with” on set and “hopelessly awkward” off set:

He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is,” Megan Fox said that time. “So he’s a nightmare to work for, but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.”

Though Michael Bay later said he wasn’t hurt by this stupid comment, the Transformers crew posted an angry open letter to Megan Fox on Bay’s blog calling her an awful and “thankless, classless, graceless” actress with diva behavior and just enough talent to work in adult movie industry.

That’s what the “Loyal Transformers Crew” wrote in their letter:

Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses’ life. He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth.

She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina – second thought – she’s no Angelina. You see, Angelina is a professional. We know this quite intimately because we’ve had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies.

When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash. And yes we’ve had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it’s very cringe-able.

Megan really is a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say unfriendly b****. It’s sad how fame can twist people, and even sadder that young girls look up to her. If only they knew who they’re really looking up to.

We actually don’t think she knows who Hitler is by the way.”
