Christina Aguilera in Burlesque – First look
This May I told you that sweet voiced mom of one was set to start a new career, this time in the movie business. Christina Aguilera was signed to star in Burlesque, a contemporary musical set in a neo-burlesque club in Los Angeles, playing a small town girl who comes to LA to find her place in life. [So f—ing boring]
Anyways, though it was originally reported that the filming would start in January 2010, the production has already started, and these photos are the first look at Aguilera in the movie. Looks very country to me. Your thoughts?
I couldn’t be more excited, as this was a project written with [Christina] in mind,” the film’s director, Steve Antin told Variety, adding that Burlesque is a “contemporary take on the traditional burlesque that derived from vaudeville, with singing, dancing, comedy and more tease than striptease.”
Due out in November of 2010, Burlesque will also star Kristen Bell, Twilight‘s Cam Gigandet, Cher and Julianne Hough.
