‘Avatar’ is the fastest selling DVD of all time!

It’s a new record set by the most successful and highest grossing movie ever, James Cameron’s Avatar.

According to the newest numbers received, the movie has sold 6.7 million DVDs and Blu-Ray discs in its first four days out!

Becoming the best selling DVD of all time, Avatar has also beat The Dark Knight‘s record of 2.5 million Blu-Rays (Avatar has already sold 2.7 million copies).

According to Hollyscoop, the numbers show just how much people love the movie regardless of 3D effects it’s so famous for, as the DVDs don’t have any special 3D effects at all.

The special edition version of Avatar will hit shelves in a couple of months with the movie getting back in theatres in August this year with six minutes of the new footage included.

A good friend of mine has one of those 6-something million copies. She’s been itching to get herself one after watching the movie in 3D back in December last year. She’s absolutely delighted. Are you?
