Angelina Jolie is ready for ‘Salt’ sequels

Angelina Jolie starring Salt hasn’t even premiered in some European and South American countries yet, but the creators are already set for the sequel.

The rumor has it, Salt director Phillip Noyce, screenwriter Kurt Wimmer, and even the lead star Angelina Jolie are open to further cooperation and see the Salt sequel in the future.

No official confirmation has so far arrived, but Los Angeles Times claims Angelina has already expressed her interest.

Well, I really liked Salt and believe it’s the most action packed movie Angie has ever done. The movie’s end gives possibilities for a sequel but I don’t think it’ll be as exciting as the original movie. Sequels usually suck, there’s nothing Hollywood can do about it (I don’t mean Borne, though).

Whether we’ll see Angelina Jolie in more Salt movies or not will depend on how well the movie performs in key international territories, like the UK, Germany and South American courtiers. As of now, Salt has already grossed $96 million in the US box office. FYI, Salt‘s production cost $110 million.

Still, if you ask me what movie I’d prefer to watch – a Salt sequel or a Marilyn Monroe biopic, I’d say Salt. The rumor has it, Jolie has been cast as Marilyn Monroe in an adaptation of Andrew O’Hagan’s The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog, And Of His Friend Marilyn Monroe. Dismissing the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Christina Hendricks, the producers have reportedly set their eyes on Angelina Jolie.

The idea is h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e. Even though Angie is a good actress there’s no way I can see her as Marilyn. You?
