Twilight is inappropriate for kids, school libraries
Stephenie Meyer and her bestselling Twilight series has joined the list of most inappropriate books for kids, according to American Library Association (ALA).
ALA’s annual Top Ten Most Frequently Challenged Books list includes those books that must be removed or restricted from libraries or schools because of “content or appropriateness.”
Meyer’s Twilight Saga comes in at #5 this year due to it being “sexually explicit, unsuited to age group, and [having] offensive language.”
Oh really???
Maybe I’m missing something but I’ve never noticed a single “sexually explicit” scene in all the four books of the series. Correct me if I’m wrong.

The author of Twilight is a Mormon — that has nothing to do with the story. She doesn’t push her religion on anyone! There are no sex scenes at all! Sensual things, yes, but not sex. The “worst” language the books have are “hell” and “damn” and sometimes “a**”. In these days, kids are already saying much worse than that.
Just because they aren’t pushing sex 24/7 and the author’s religious views doesn’t have anything to do with a religious viewpoint. If they are truly stupid enough to call Twilight sexually explicit, I’d hate to know what sex is in their minds . . . .
