Slumdog Millionaire off-screen love: Freida & Dev

These guys seem to have got in the heart of Hollywood’s favorite game, which is “what on-screen couple will become off-screen lover?” I don’t even know who started the game, but Mr. & Mrs. Smith Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt definitely contributed to its spread.

Oscar-nominated Slumdog Millionaire is on everyone’s lips. People back it, people talk about it, the cast visit all possible glam events, and subsequently, there’s a lot of rumor spreading around about the movie and its stars.

The latest? Well, according to Slumdog actor Anil Kapoor (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host in the movie), the leading stars, Dev Patel, 18, and Freida Pinto, 24, are an item.

As a matter of fact, when I meet them I feel there is something happening,” he told in the radio interview. “But she says ‘I have to look after him’ and ‘I have to baby sit him’ and that kind of stuff… (I think) this is the beginning of something exciting happening.”

Both young stars keep mum about the reports. All we know is that they first met during an audition for Slumdog Millionaire and seemed to be getting along pretty well.

Though people feel “magical chemistry” there and think “they definitely make a great pair,” it’s really unlikely that Freida rushes into the new relationship so blindly and thoughtlessly, as she’s the kind of girl to put her career first.

She split from her fiancé a month ago saying she couldn’t combine being a wife and being an actress.
