First Look: Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn’

The cast and crew are currently filming Twilight Saga‘s last two installments, Breaking Dawn part I and II in Louisiana, shooting the movie back to back. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the vampire franchise, has released the first official image of young actress Mackenzie Foy as Bella and Edward’s half-vampire, half-human daughter Renesmee (Nessie).

Mackenzie, the youngest member of the Twilight crew, was cast to play Nessie in late summer last year. Twilight Saga‘s author Stephenie Meyer said that time she was very excited to welcome Foy to the Twilight family and thought Summit Entertainment and Bill Condon had found the perfect actress to play Edward and Bella’s daughter Renesmee.

Mackenzie Foy’s first image is from Breaking Dawn Part II (out November 16, 2012). According to director Bill Condon, in Breaking Dawn they’re going to use digital effects similar to those used in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button to age Mackenzie and make her look as if she’s 17 years old. In the movie Renesmee will grown to the age of 17 in only seven years.
