Eclipse newcomer dishes on her character

It’s been so devoid of Twilight Saga lately, hasn’t it? Some more Eclipse news has arrived.

Back in October 2009 I told you about the new addition to the Twilight Saga: Eclipse family – Kyle XY star Kirsten Prout signed to star in the sequel depicting vampire Lucy who once was closely connected with Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and helped Maria (Catalina Sandino Moreno) build a vampire army.

In her latest interview, Kirsten gushed on her character describing Lucy as “an innocent victim” that turns into something really sinister:

Without revealing too much, Lucy is one of the vampires that turns Jasper. Jasper gets turned while he is an officer, and I’m one of the vampires that causes Jasper to be turned during his military career,” the 19 year old actress told IESB. “Lucy appears to be an innocent little victim, and then she turns into something a lot more sinister.”

As her character obliges her to, Kirsten spent a lot of time with Jackson Rathbone and said they “actually got along really well.” Welcome to the TS family!

Besides Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Billy Burke, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Boo Boo Stewart and others, Eclipse cast will also include Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, Xavier Samuel as Riley and Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria.

Twilight Saga: Eclipse will premiere on June 30, 2010.
