Christie Burke will play teenage Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn’
Aspiring actress Christie Burke is said to have been cast to play teenager Renesmee in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part II. Burke will appear in a flashforward scene with Taylor Lautner‘s character, werewolf Jacob Black.
Though Summit Entertainment hasn’t yet confirmed the reports, all Twi-hards seem to be super exciting about the new addition to the Twilight family.
If the rumor proves to be true, Christie Burke becomes the fifth actress cast to play Renesmee, Bella and Edward’s half-vampire half-human daughter with supernatural abilities.
10 year old Mackenzie Foy was the first to be cast to play Renesmee in August 2010. Earlier this month it was reported that three more child actresses, Eliza Faria, 5, Rachel St. Gelais, 6, and Sierra Pitkin, were cast to play Renesmee in different ages – Mackenzie’s head will be digitally superimposed on their bodies to show her rapid growth.
As you probably know, in Breaking Dawn Renesmee will grow to 17 years old and the movie’s director Bill Condon plans to use the same technologies as used in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button to digitally age Mackenzie Foy.
Breaking Dawn cast are currently filming both parts of the movie in Vancouver, Canada. Other filming locations include Brazil and Louisiana. Breaking Dawn, the final installment of the Twilight Saga, is being filmed back to back.
Breaking Dawn Part I will hit theatres on November 18, 2011 with the second part coming on November 16, 2012.
