‘Breaking Dawn’ screenwriter: “No love or childbirth scenes in the movie!”
Screenplay writer Melissa Rosenberg, who’s in charge of adopting Twilight Saga sequel for big screen, says she’s not sure she wants to include certain scenes into the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn screenplay. If she could choose she’d completely delete love scenes and childbirth scenes from the vampire drama.
Ms Rosenberg believes Breaking Dawn will be better without sex scenes, “gore and guts.” This way the film will remain interesting to the fans as well as escape being R-rated.
On the fan site, on Facebook, all the comments are, ‘It has to be R-rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts!’ For me it’s actually more interesting to not see it. You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth… It doesn’t mean it’s any less evocative of an experience.” Melissa Rosenberg told the Los Angeles Times.
As a screenwriter Melissa leaves director Bill Condon to decide whether some controversial scenes should or should not be included into the movie.
[I] make a few sort of general suggestions on the page and say, ‘Go! Go, Bill! Do it!'” the Twilight Saga screenwriter added.
If childbirth scene is indeed excluded from the movie, Robert Pattinson will be sooo disappointed.

I believe that some scenes that keep with the story line of the book, yet are not too graphic would be perfect. I do think that some stylized love scenes are somewhat necessary for the movie, but it doesn’t have to be in your face. Same goes for the childbirth scene. That could all be played out off camera with sound effects to keep you guessing. That way you won’t offend parents.

After reading the final installment, I have to say that the birth scene is one of the most important scenes in the story. It defines Bella as a vampire and helps shap who she becomes. It would be the destruction of the art behind the story to NOT to include the birth scene.

If they leave out the honeymoon sex scenes and the birth of Renesmee, they have effectively cut out 2/3 of the damn book.
