Willow Smith’s 2010 AMA outfit is a designer rip-off
Willow Smith‘s fashion-forward costume at 2010 American Music Awards was one of my top favorite looks at the event and I thought it to be super trendy and uber original. However, the new reports claim that the outfit is a rip-off of the design by London designer Mildred Von Hildegard.
Hildegard expressed her disappointment in Willow’s creative team for making such a cheap replica of her design without her permission.
I’m disappointed and saddened that this will negatively impact my business,” Midred Von Hildegard said in her statement. “My original design is now recognized in the mass media as someone else’s work, and it’s very hurtful on both a personal and professional levels. I hope this can be resolved, and I wish nothing but the best to Willow.”
In the light of Willow Smith’s AMA look controversy, all eyes are on her regular designer duo Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi as media think them to be the ones to be accused of forgery. However, Haenn has said she didn’t style Willow to the event and has no idea whose design it was.
Ok, so who’s that one behind Willow’s look at last week’s AMAs? If this person/ group of people are mean enough to steal other people’s ideas why can’t they just stand up and admit it?
Willow Smith’s style is super original and all that, but some people think she’s also copied Rihanna’s style to make it her trademark one. Do you also think so?

She (Hilde) should have first PRAISED Willow Smith’s outfit, then everyone would have started to say “I came up with that idea”, and then, BAM!
Now it’s too late, they’re already retreating.
Rats.
