Vatican bans Tom Hanks’ new movie
The Vatican has learned the lesson of The Da Vinci Code well.
The Pope asks Christians to boycott Tom Hanks’ new movie, Angels & Demons, based on the Den Brown’s best-selling novel of the same name.
Avvenire, the Vatican’s official newspaper, says the church “cannot approve” the film and calls people worldwide to boycott the movie.
Usually we read the script but in this case it wasn’t necessary. Just the name Dan Brown was enough,” Vatican’s spokesman said.
Tom Hanks reprises his famous The Da Vichi Code character Robert Langton who in this flick investigates the murder and tries to prevent a terrorist attack against the Vatican.
The movie also costars Ewan McGregor.
The flick hits theaters worldwide this May 15th.
