Rihanna’s illegal tattoo fun
She made several guys happy to have her unique tattoos in their body art collections but seems Rihanna’s innocent tattooing lesson may turn into NYC Law Department investigation.
On July 1 RiRi visited East Side Ink to get a couple of tattooing lessons and tattooed three parlor artists with tiny umbrellas with R on them and then left the place.
It could be considered as trying her hand in something new but Ri’s actions were absolutely illegal, according to NYC Health Department.
Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this,” The Health Department told TMZ.com.
Now the singer might be charged with three misdemeanors for the offense, with penalty of $300, $500 and $1,000, respectively. East Side Ink may also get fined.
You have to pay for having fun.
Rihanna is a big fan if tattoos as she’s got as many as 8 covering her beautiful body.

Does anyone else think it is time for the fucking government to stfu? I should be allowed to let anyone tattoo me, as along as it is my choice. She isn’t charging people, it was just a little bit of fun. Any reason to justify their crap jobs. Why has everyone forgot, The government works for us, not the other way around.

yes bob, let her tattoo you, give you ink poisoning, and then you can die but hey, all in good fun right? I mean, if somebody goes joy riding while drunk and runs over somebody, even though it’s illegal and that person is probably paralyzed now, the governemnt should mind their business because it was just a little bit of fun. No biggie, right? The only person who needs to stfu is you, the law is to protect people from needlessly getting hurt. It doesn’t take much to mess up a tattoo and she should have enough common sense to know it’s illegal.

In the UK Tattooing is legal if under the supervision of a licenced proffessional, and on a registered premesis. The worst that could happen, if she was being advised throughout the process, is it wouldn’t look very good when healed, the licenced owners would have been responsible for the hygiene. NY might be different because tattooing was banned until 1997 and laws are stricter, but as the article says she was tattooing the artists from the studio, I strongly doubt there was any serious risk at all! every ones over reacting because she’s a celebrety

lol “ink poisoning”. Obviously someone who doesnt have a clue about tattooing. Some other idiot made the comment that she could “seriously injure” someone by going “a bit too deep”. Uuuuh thats whats referred to as a blown out line, maybe unnatractive but other than that not injurious.
Its in a licensed shop, all health related issues were up to par. If its set up to pro standards, and supervised by a pro, there is nothing an untrained person can really do to cause a health hazard. Only make a poor quality tattoo. Buts thats not what these guys wanted, its more for the memory. She is doing no more damage than an apprentice would be doing his/her first tattoos in a legit shop.
