“Milkaholic” Lindsay wants $100 million
It’s Lindsay Lohan, says the star’s lawyer Stephanie Ovadia.
If you watch the video then it turns out that Lilo is a girl who steals other girls’ boyfriends and is, on top of it all, a “milkaholic” (read, alcoholic). Man, such a strangely biased characterization from your own lawyer, don’t you think Lindsay?
Trouble head Lindsay Lohan has filed a lawsuit against the financial firm E-Trade for their Super Bowl commercial featuring a baby named Lindsay.
Lohan is seeking $100 million in damages and compensation for using her name in the ad and parodying her life for the company’s profit. Lilo and her lawyer think the name is strongly associated with the actress/singer so people immediately think the company means Lohan.
Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit. They used the name Lindsay. They’re using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn’t they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody’s talking about it and saying it’s Lindsay Lohan,” lawyer Ovadia said in the statement, according to TMZ. “Do you know the name Oprah? Do you know the name Madonna? Same thing.”
Those who created the commercial say the name Lindsay was chosen at random, just “a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team.”
Find some other way to earn $$$, Lilo!
