Lady Gaga’s Male Character Joe Calderone Is Copied?

Lady Gaga continues shocking audience with her extravagant images. I bet even Katy Perry or Nicki Minaj’s freaky outfits in the VMA ceremony didn’t affect on spectators as Lady Gaga’s appearance. Joe Calderone, the singer’s male alter ego, created an incredible show. Initially she-he made ironic comments on Lady Gaga but then exploded the audience performing nip and tuck with a legendary Queen’s guitarist Brian May.

Lady Gaga’s character Joe Calderone impressed the public so much that talks about him continued even after the VMA. However some speculations on Joe weren’t really positive. Some Twitter users including a “familiar critic” Kelly Osbourne accused Lady Gaga of unoriginality. They noticed a striking resemblance of Lady Gaga’s Joe Calderone to Annie Lennox’s image in the Grammy Awards ceremony, 1984. Kelly Osbourne posted a link to the video of disguised Annie Lennox’s performance.

I love lady gaga but I wish she would start giving credit where credit is due!

It’s not the first time when Lady Gaga is accused of plagiarism. The public noticed analogies between singer’s Born This Way and Madonna’s Express Yourself songs. Besides recently Rebecca Francescatti has sued the Queen of monsters. She claimed that Lady Gaga’s hit Judas has transparent similarities to her Juda recorded in 1999. Another user twitted,

Madonna, Bette Midler, Annie Lennox! Does Gaga have any ideas of her own or is she hoping everyone is too young to remember the originals?

Lady Gaga chooses a very tricky image as the public always anticipates original eccentricity from her. Seems, sometimes it’s pretty hard to meet the expectations.
