Hannah Montana is plagiarized?
This is something dirty from the Disney Channel world.
A guy named Richard Fronduto filed a lawsuit against the Channel on Wednesday in L.A. County Superior Court. He says Disney used his ideas when creating the Hannah Montana series.
Mr. Frontudo claims he came up with the Hannah Montana idea in 1990. He even wrote the script, but in his story the girl’s name was Sindy, but she, just like Hannah (played by Miley Cyrus, in case you forget), led a double life as an ordinary teenager and a pop star. The writer’s agent gave the script to the Disney Channel people and they liked the story and there were even talks about the pilot episode. But then it was it.
Frontudo’s Sindy had a lot in common with Disney’s Hannah and so the man wants a “Created by” credit in all of the future publication of the series and compensation for the “damages”.
Disney haven’t commented on the issue yet, so we can only guess if the affair works out this time. Why do I say this time? Cause this isn’t the first time some unknown author claims he’s the one to create Hannah Montana.
Everyone wants to get a piece of big Hannah Montana pie. Want a bite?
