Dina Lohan sues ‘GLEE’ for calling Lindsay Lohan totally crazy
Glee‘s Tuesday episode poked fun at trouble-head Lindsay Lohan and her infamous rehab stints. While everybody liked the new Spanish teacher played by Gwyneth Paltrow, Lindsay’s mom Dina Lohan found the joke “tasteless” and said she was going to sue Glee for defamation.
Our lawyers are sending a letter to Glee on the grounds that the show allegedly defamed the actress who, by all accounts, is working hard on her recovery,” Lindsay Lohan’s rep said in the statement. “Lindsay has an issue that millions of people around the world are dealing with yet Glee is treating addiction as a laughing matter.”
In case you missed the Tuesday episode, here’s what infuriated Lohan’s mom. The new substitute teacher (Paltrow) quizzed the students asking them to count the number of times Lindsay Lohan had been in rehab.
Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?” Gwyneth Paltrow’s character told her students.
Do you agree with Dina Lohan’s decision to sue Glee for this comment? Can’t wait to know your thoughts!

In the show, it was depicted merely as a comical “opinion” – not a widespread suggested distribution of a “fact”. I’m trying to see how much of the audience will watch that and see it anything besides a joke – and would instead genuinely believe that Lindsay is actually crazy. I mean, really?
Do you see communities suing Glee for depicting bullying on these minority groups? With Dina’s philosophy – there were plenty of “hurtful” things said by Sue Sylvester depicting these minority groups. But fortunately, unlike Dina, minority groups are intelligent enough to realize the difference between something comical, and something serious.
I didn’t feel that Glee was in any way suggesting that Lindsay Lohan is crazy. They were probably suggesting that the character played by Paltrow was crazy.

In the show, they did not defame her. they infamed her because that us what she already is.

They’ve poked fun at Britney Spears for shaving her head, Sue makes fun of gays, obese people, etc on her Sue C’s It section on the news. Whether her mom likes it or not, Lindsey is famous and people are going to say things about her no matter what she does. Get over it and move past it. People now-a-days are so “sue-happy” over every little thing. What has happened to taking things in stride and seeing them for the jokes that they are?
