Britney Spears – a new tell-all book
While we all enjoy a new Britney Spears – healthy, normal, successful and touring, some people just can’t stop gossiping about her life, 2007’s meltdown and the reasons for it that we, as usual, should find in her childhood.
Steve Dennis has released a new tell-all book called Britney: Inside The Dream.
Ok who’s Steve Dannis after all? According to Amazon.com, Steve Dennis is an acclaimed ghost-writer who usually collaborates with celebrities on autobiographies. Britney: Inside the Dream is his sixth book, but his first biography.
Anyway, this man claims that Britney’s downward spiral in 2007 was the result of her previous experiences that could not pass by unnoticed.
Mr. Dennis writes, as a child Britney was a regular witness of her father’s drunk rows with her mom and of his erratic uncontrollable behavior under influence. The author claims as a child Britney just walked away from the problem and performing on stage was her salvation.
According to her aunt, she was a very quiet and timid child but as she grew older she could not simply take the situation as it was, she simply turned into a nerve wreck though everyone saw a beautiful girl with a lot of energy and a happy smile on her pretty face.
Moreover, Inside The Dream reveals a pretty disturbing secret of Britney’s teenage years.
When Britney was 18 and was in the middle of her Oops! I did It Again world tour (2000) she had unsuspected crying and anxiety fits when she was left alone. So she was prescribed Prozac (used for depression and panic attacks) at such young age.
She had trouble sleeping and crying fits. She was restless and agitated. Nights were the only times she was alone and she struggled with that… When nothing was happening, it drove her crazy. Only exhaustion would knock her out,” a close source told Dennis.
Such anxiety was not drug-induced. This was Britney’s natural state, but heightened by fame. Her moods started to swing noticeably, high and happy one minute, sad and brooding the next. She just dismissed it as “silly ole me!” Mirror.co.uk cited the author.
Pills helped her be more manic and while the drug is prescribed to be taken on daily basis, Britney took it only on days she felt depressed, just like a headache pill, for example.
Why not everyone finally leaves the girl alone?
Britney: Inside The Dream will be released on June 11. Would you buy the book about Britney?
