Beyonce: Female Michael Jackson?
So, Beyonce looks almost white in a blonde wig in a new glamour pics being used to promote the re-release of her fourth album 4. Actulally it’s okay for skin color to look brighter, lighter or washed out because of lighting or flash of the camera. Nevertheless, Beyonce seems to have gone too far with skin tone airbrushing and popped up controversy about very light skin back to her early days with breakout group Destiny’s Child. That time, in 2008, Beyoncé became the subject of much more polemics in a L’Oreal cosmetics ad when she appeared several shades lighter than her natural skin color. The whitewashing was explained by photoshopping among people, but the L’Oreal severely denied airbrushing the image.
And last February, a very blonde Beyonce stepped out in a black minidress which revealed unusually pale skin on the star. Was that also photoshop? Or those rumours concerning Bey’s skin lightening processes were true?! Anyway, there was pretty much indignancy about celeb’s look and writer Yasmin Alibhai-Brown accused the singer of ‘betraying all Black and Asian women.’ She wrote in the British The Daily Mail:
Too many black and Asian children grow up understanding the sad truth that to have dark skin is to be somehow inferior.”
Of course, black and Asian parents work hard to give their children a positive self-image and confidence in their appearance, despite the cultural forces stacked against them.”
But when black celebrities appear to deny their heritage by trying to make themselves look white, I despair for the youngsters who see those images.”
But it Beyoncé and her producers seem not to have learned their “whitewashing” lesson. A promotional pictures have emerged showing a newly-mom looking much paler than her natural color. Some experts told the appearance may have been lightened in the studio.
What’s that? Can anyone explain me? Why does Beyonce, superstar ho has millions of young fans, do it? Doesn’t she think that she’d have the impact of urging darker-skinned black girls embarrassed of the way they look? Ugh?
And why does Beyonce think that darker skin is somehow nether than the white one? Maybe I’m wrong of her attitude to skin tone, but why do all those pics from covers, ads, and just streets make me think that? How can they be explained?
I wonder if Beyonce loves the skin that she’s in. No? Or is she whitewashing her skin tone for the masses? for what masses then?
And what about her notorious African-inspired L’Officiel pics? Running to extremes. Sad.
What are your thoughts, guys?

if u check out pics from her destiny’s child days on the very first album she’s just as light just with dark hair. the caramel complexion didn’t come along until her dangerously in love days, it’s called a spray tan.
i am a very light black woman probably the same color as her in the pic in the black dress and aqua hills. i am lightest in the winter and darkest in the summer. the pic in the black dress by the car was from feb. the one to its left is obviously from the summer b/c you can see her baby bump. light skin women tan very well.
