Your new favorite – Young & Divine
Let me introduce a new band of three handsome guys doing pop punk music with contagious upbeat rhythms and positive attitude. JP Clark, 23 (vocals/bass), Jake Mai, 23 (guitar/vocals) and Joe Bortscheller, 22 (drums) make Young & Divine and release their debut album this spring.
When a friend of mine told me about them and let me listen to their first single ‘Shake That Bubble’ I fell in love with the band’s sound and listened to the track, like, three times in the row. These guys have a future in the industry I can see that, and that’s why they’re on GlamourVanity.com!
Young & Divine is from Albany. Two of the band’s members met in a college psychology class and found the drummer on MySpace.
The guys say they’re influenced by Green Day so expect to hear super-charged choruses, powerful guitar lines and ear-grabbing melodies.
A lot of bands forget they’re entertainers,” Mai said. “Our sets are dynamic but we stick to our roots: we’re a rock band.”
Before you make your judgment check out the band’s new video for ‘Shake That Bubble’.
‘Shake That Bubble’ is about going to a club and it’s your spot, you’ve got the hook up,” Clark said, according to the band’s official website. “And it’s also about what girls do at clubs – or what we’re hoping they do.”
