Tokio Hotel gets Automatic
Are there any big Tokio Hotel fans out there? I asked some of my friends if they knew what Tokio Hotel was, and they’d never heard the name before and had no idea about this German band. Weird.
Tokio Hotel is huge is Europe, it’s true. They invaded US last year and presented their debut album Scream. I don’t know about you but I liked it.
The guys are set to release their sophomore album on October 2, 2009 and so far present a fresh video for the first single off the album, ‘Automatic’.
I did think the song would come out in German first, like they always did it before. Meanwhile, it still hasn’t been revealed if the album will feature songs in both English and German or have two language versions, so get ready for Oct. 2 to find out.
The frontman of the band, Bill Kaulitz, just promised fans would be surprised by TH’s new sound, and yes, I am.
‘Automatic’ is not very much TH, actually. It’s rock-ier, I’d say. It’s new and interesting, for now.
Check out the video for ‘Automatic’ below. The Transformers inspired video was shot in the South African desert. Loving the sci-fi theme, and still can’t figure out why this guy needs so much make up.
