Shakira, Black Eyed Peas for FIFA World Cup

FIFA has unveiled the list of performers for the FIFA World Cup concert during the tournament in June 2010.

According to the statement, such artists as Shakira, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Black Eyed Peas are set to perform at the show and join local South African musicians at the highly anticipated event on June 10.

According to the source, net proceeds from the gig will benefit FIFA’s 2010 social campaign which is aimed to offer healthcare services, education and soccer training for disadvantaged communities.

We are thrilled to have a concert of such magnitude and performing talent raise the curtain on the first FIFA World Cup in Africa,” FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke said. “It is testament to the universal and unifying power of football and music, and will start the competition off on the right note of celebration.”

   If South Africa wanted to set the World on fire at the FIFA World Cup, they should seriously have included ADAM LAMBERT. No other singer on the programme has his vocal ability or stage presence. We also claim to embrace diversity and this would have been an ideal opportunity to showcase it.

   Come on South Africa, it is not too late! If you want to leave your global supporters with a lasting memory of the event, approach Adam Lambert.

   His huge voice will resonate around any stadium – he is INCOMPARABLE! A change is gonna come, which he sang on AI, is the best performance I have EVER heard.
