No Doubt’s new “happy” album is out later this year!
Ten years after their last studio album No Doubt are back in the studio to worki onthe new effort. In her interview with Ryan Seacrest Gwen Stefani said they were going to release the new album in 2011 and were still writing new “really catchy songs” for their “happy album”.
We’ve been going for awhile trying to make this record and it’s been super challenging but really fun,” Gwen Stefani said. “We’re trying to enjoy the moment of writing and…it’s just a really fun process and I think [the new album] is going to be out this year. It’s generally a really happy album…the main thing we were trying to do is write really catchy good songs…we got about 10 songs done and we want to do a few more just in case, but it’s a really good record, I really love this record.”
I just can’t wait!
No Doubt released their last album Rock Steady in 2001 before going on a prolonged hiatus. During this time Gwen Stefani has proved herself to be a very successful solo artists as well as a talented fashion designer and a doting mother of two. I’m happy that despite that she’s ready to get back together with the band and do something Do Doubt!
