Gwen Stefani says good-bye to solo career

We first met her as a funky-punky girl from No Doubt but years later she revealed her sexy side as a solo singer. Now, eight years after the release of the first solo album Gwen Stefani says she’s over her solo career and is ready to focus her entire music attention on No Doubt.

In her interview with Entertainment Weekly Gwen says her solo career as a singer and songwriter was “a moment in time” and now as she’s over it “everything works out how it should.”

[My solo career] went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you’re at in that time in your life,” Gwen told the publication.

Well, maybe I’m gonna miss Stefani’s “What You Waiting For?” days but I’m super excited about the new material from No Doubt. The band is currently working on the new studio album, their first music effort in seven years.

During eight years of her solo career Gwen Stefani released two albums, Love.Angel.Music.Baby in 2003 and The Sweet Escape in 2006. Both albums went platinum.
