Goodbye Lullaby – Avril Lavigne reveals new album title

Two weeks after announcing the name of her new single ‘What The Hell’ and the upcoming studio release, Avril Lavigne has revealed the name of her fourth studio album. The new effort is titled Goodbye Lullaby and is planned for release in March 2011.

This album is different,” Avril Lavigne said about Goodbye Lullaby. “I’m older now, so I think that comes across in my music, it’s not as pop-rock and it’s a little more mellow and it’s deep.”

For her new album Avril has tried some new sound working with Hip Hop producer Alex da Kid (‘Love the Way You Lie’). Even though going out of her comfort zone for some songs, Avril’s new album will also feature her trademark pop rock sound.

Goodbye Lullaby is Avril Lavigne’s first album in four years. The first single off the album, ‘What The Hell’ will be released in January 2011.
