Chris Brown goes pop, listens to Miley Cyrus
In his latest interview for YRB Magazine Chris Brown revealed that he wasn’t really fond of industry these days and became more of a pop guy listening a lot to Miley Cyrus.
Chris Brown and Miley Cyrus? Sounds incredible!
Right now, not to be disrespectful to anybody, but I’m not fond on the industry that much. I’m more kind of to myself. I love Owl City and, um, Cobra Starship and even Miley Cyrus; that’s where my head is at with music now, going more pop and kind of different with those guys.”
Also in his interview Chris gushed about his latest album Graffiti that comes out December 8, 2009:
Basically I just wanted to prove to everybody that I was focused on my music and I just had a story to tell as far as my writing and my feelings. Graffiti is the art of me, the art of Chris Brown. That’s why I named it Graffiti – because graffiti is art. I know it’s a form of vandalism, but not lookin’ at it on a negative aspect, it’s art and my music is my graffiti,” Brown said. “[Graffiti’s] got all different shapes and sizes and colors, so that’s what my music brings – different feelings, different emotions. It brings different genres of music together all in one… Really this album has so many great songs and you can just play it straight through. It’s more of me growing with my audience.”
“Basically everything that anybody needs to know point blank, as far as whatever it is, is in the album. Just anything anybody wants to know about me, my situation, how I am, it’s in the album – that’s my expression.”
Anything including the Rihanna situation. One of the songs on the album, ‘Famous Girl’, bears direct comparison with the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation.
Here’s the alleged lyrics:
“Drake would say that you’re the best he ever had / Rumours come and go… / Everywhere you go it follows / Can’t understand I still love you,” Chris sings on the lines. “Sorry Bey I don’t wear no Halo / You were first to play the game though / Sorry I bust the windows out ya car / I might have cheated in the beginning / I was wrong for writing Disturbia.”
Will you buy Chris’s new album when it comes out next Tuesday?
