Beyonce fails to look fierce in ‘Ego’ video

Beyoncé Knowles is in a sort of singer’s block. She’s run out of imagination and creativity to make cool videos. She follows the same pattern again and again. That’s no good.

Beyonce presented her latest video ‘Ego,’ another single from her latest I Am… Sasha Fierce studio album.

Though apparently trying to look fierce and seductive, Beyonce failed to do both. However, she had a ready-made excuse in hand to explain herself away:

My goal for [the] video is simplicity,” she told EW. “In ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’, I saw this old tape of Bob Fosse’s wife, and I used that as inspiration. I thought in this world, with all the technology and everything that’s going on, to strip everything down-great idea. So I kind of did the same thing, but glossy and black, for ‘Ego’.”

The same leotard (but of another color, of course), the same moves, the same two back up dancers. Nothing new.

   Not hating or anyything but I am so tired of seeing her. I think she was refreshing a couple of years ago. The video looks like she needs a perm, and it is the same old steps. Her music is getting plaid out!

   This “ego” video really captures what’s going on with Miss B. Her ego is so big that she thinks she can put out anything and people will love it -even if it means replicating the same video several times. In her interview, she talks about doing something different, which is cool. But, when you do that different thing multiple times, it’s not different anymore and not creative. It’s mundane, boring and creatively lazy. Beyonce is so one dimensional. If she were constantly striving to be creative as she indicates, she would make it a rule never to look back. She would keep moving and develop new styles, music and videos. She is so played out. I am not sure if she feels more comfortable with a group, and that’s the reason she keeps using this same “two back up dancers and me” video format.

   I am uncertain as to what her reason is, but it’s boring and a sign of creative constipation. She’s stuck!
