Avril Lavigne premieres new album cover art, debuts new song on New Year’s Eve
Two weeks after Avril Lavigne revealed the new album title in late November, the official cover art for Goodbye Lullaby has also been unveiled.
The cover looks awesome! Can’t wait to actually listen to the album when Goodbye Lullaby is released on March 8, 2011.
On New Year’s Eve this year Avril will premiere her first single off the new album, titled ‘What The Hell.’ Lavigne is scheduled to perform on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
Last month Lavigne said ‘What The Hell’ was the least personal song off this album.
It’s a fun and funny anthem. It has a broad message about personal freedom. It is the most pop track on the record,” she added.
Goodbye Lullaby, will present a new Avril. The album is hailed as less pop-rock, more mellow and definitely deep. Aside of Avril’s trademark sound it will also feature a ’50s girl-group feel and reveal Avril’s vulnerable side.
Goodbye Lullaby is Avril Lavigne’s first album in four years. The first single ‘What The Hell’ will be released in January next year.

I can’t wait for this album to be released. I’ve been waiting something new from Avril for a very long time. I think the new album will be smashing record again, she always does.
