Avril is over and done with pop-rock

Avril Lavigne has revealed some details of her new and still untitled album that hits music stores November 17, 2009.

The 24 year old songstress said she was over and done with her trademark pop-rock style as her new album is her brand new self:

It’s a lot different from anything I’ve done before. It’s not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling,” she told Billboard. “A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal.”

Most of the songs on the album are “stripped down” as they were recorded with acoustic guitar and the vocal. The album is Avril’s way to show she’s grown up to have this new sound and new vibe.

Just wondering if Lavigne getting “emotional” will sound as good as she did showing off her rock star wild self with edgy songs and upbeat rhythms.
