American Music Awards 2011 Nominees And Winners

Well, well, well! One more glam event – the 39th American Music Awards was held on November 20, 2011, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The awards recognized the most popular artists and albums of 2011. All the nominees have already been announced on October 11, 2011 and yesterday the winners were awarded. The interesting fact about this event is that it was host-free. The ceremony which included performances from stars like Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Drake, Katy Perry, and Justin Bieber was aired on ABC channel. Jennifer Lopez sang twice at the ceremony. During her first performance she became chocked up at the beginning before singing with Pitbull. She made her second performance on stage with Will.i.am during the debut of her new solo single T.H.E (The Hardest Ever).

As for winners, Taylor Swift was the star of the night walking away with 3 awards, including the ceremony’s top award for Artist of the Year nomination. There’s a list of nominees and winners below, I’ll update it as soon as I’m aware of the rest nomination winners.
