2010 MTV VMA nominees: 13 noms for Lady GaGa!

She says she’s lonely and often desperate, but seems like Lady GaGa has something to cheer her up. The singer has been nominated for record-breaking 13 nods at 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history,” Lady GaGa said. “Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number: 13.”

Among the categories she’s mentioned in are video of the year, best female video, best dance video and best pop video. Two of her vids, ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Telephone’ are both nominated in the best art direction category, while ‘Telephone’ and ‘Bad Romance’ are up for best choreography nod.

Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!

In the number of nominations, GaGa is followed by Eminem with 8 and Kesha with 3 (“I’m gonna pee myself,” Ke$ha said on hearing the news).

I keep my fingers crossed for Lady GaGa and hope she’ll win in all 13 categories. She deserves it!
