Rihanna Announces 2013 World Tour

Rihanna has revealed to Capital FM that she has plans to go back on tour next year. Rihanna admitted that the tour is set to be the biggest thing that she has ever done and will have more of an impact than ever. How can she have a massive tour with an album that had only one hit single? The next single was one of the biggest flops of her career and she’s got two singles on the go right now, neither with music videos or promotion. She always tours a few months after her album goes on sale, so why does she think her fans will be interested in a tour supporting a borderline flop album a year from now?

Rihanna has confirmed that she will kick a worldwide tour in 2013.

Rihanna said:

Tour. We’re going to be going on tour next year. So this year we’re spending out time planning to make sure it’s bigger than anything we’ve done and something more impactful, maybe something different, so my fans can get excited about it.”

Rihanna was then pressed for further details about the tour but would only say:

Too early to talk!”

Current album Talk That Talk was released in November 2011, immediately after the singles campaign from her November 2010 album Loud had finished.

Rihanna’s currently doing her rounds in Japan promoting her move to the big screen in the action packed flick Battleship. There she debuted her new darker hairstyle – thank goodness she got rid of that blonde mop of hair she was sporting for a while!

I guess what the girl needs is a proper break from the industry as the public is clearly tiring of her. Look at Lady Gaga – she’s taken a break from the public eye right now because she realises the public were getting sick of her and decided to take a year off from promotion and just tour for the fans and work hard on her next album but not release anything new for a while. Too much over-exposure can be career ending.
