Scent of spring – new fragrance arrivals

Chanel No. 5 new ad campaign isn’t the only thing from fragrance industry we should be looking forward to this spring and summer.

Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne has presented her debut fragrance Black Star the other day. The perfume was made in cooperation with Procter & Gamble Prestige Products and is styled as a must-have for a punk princess.

I wanted to make sure it was really me – me in a bottle,” Avril said.

The perfume bottle is pink and black with studs (of course) and contains a “studded ring around its neck reminiscent of punk-style jewelry, which may be removed and worn as a ring or a pendant.” The scent is described as “young and fresh and edgy” and features notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate.

Another young music star, Jesse McCartney, comes out with his own fragrance for women called Wanted. The scent is described as a blend of bergamot and apple, with a touch of jasmine, rose, cedarwood, amber, and musk.

Jimmy Choo who recently launched his S/S 2009 ad campaign has also created his first feminine fragrance. Excited? I know.

We launched our handbag line nearly four years ago and already Jimmy Choo has evolved from a shoe brand to a global luxury brand,” Muriel Zingraff, director of new product development and licening, told WWD. “It was natural to go into fragrance as it allows us to express a different facet of the brand.”

Calvin Klein comes out with the renewed version of his 2005 floral oriental Euphoria called Euphoria Spring Temptation, the tag line of which is Let spring reveal your femininity.

The perfume is all spring featuring notes of guava leaf, pear blossom, a water fall accord, pink lily, freesia and violet petals covered with dew drops, creamy sandalwood, white amber, frosted musk.

DKNY launched Delicious Fresh Blossom that’s described as “feminine and sophisticated scent” – a blend of pleasing jasmine, rose and apple.

Bermuda is the new fragrance in the line, capturing the scent of Bermuda air marrying floral notes of hibiscus with woody cedarwood.

Always chic Vera Wang presents Look that’s described as your perfect fragrance for a romantic night out. Look is a combination of mandarin, freesia, jasmine and vanilla.

   I can’t wait to buy Jesse’s new fragrance Wanted By Jesse!!! OMG I love him. I want to be Jesse’s girl. The fragrance is going to be in Sephora, Kohls and Walmart soon :-)
