Rolling Stones invade fashion
After 40 years on stage Rolling Stones are still hot! It’s never too late to try something new, so why not try designing?
Two Rolling Stones related fashion news have just surfaced.
Rolling Stones purses. Yeas, you got it right, now it’s possible to get yourself a super trendy purse made of Rolling Stones records, literally. The new bag creation lets you carry your stuff in a Rolling Stones album and cover that’re turned into a bright cute purse.
The idea is Nobel Price-worthy!
Rolling Stones prints. Rolling Stones legendary bassist Ronnie Wood teamed up with Liberty to launch a limited edition fashion line of holdalls, scarves, dresses, T-shirts, wallets and bags featuring his most recent paintings.
The line made of such materials as leather, cotton, jersey, foil and nylon will sell from around $280 for a t-shirt or scarf to $640 for a dress. According to the source, the collection will be available online starting September 15, 2009.
So why is the line so special and so pricey? Ronnie’s paintings are turned into fabric prints, not such a big deal. The exclusiveness of the collection is that most of the paintings were made while Wood was in rehab. Like the I Feel Like Painting dress was inspired by “the day when I decided to turn my life around” after his six-weeks in rehab dealing with his drink problems.
It was just boom! boom! It was born under the influence of clarity,” The bassist said of the painting.
His other source of inspiration is youth, particularly, his 20-year-old Russian girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova, the Rolling Stones member, 62, added.
It’s crazy, last night all these young kids came over to the house. They were like, ‘Hey Ronnie, you’re just like us’. It’s fantastic the way they make you feel,” the musician told Harper’s Bazaar.
Can’t wait to know what you think of the designs!

Please correct the phrase “Rolling Stones legendary bassist Ronnie Wood” – in the Rolling Stones, Ronnie Wood plays guitar. Legendary, even.
Thank you.
