I don’t get it. Alexander McQueen S/S 2010 ad film
Is it what you call art? Well, I admit it’s definitely genius but kinda mental, original but scary, talented but incomprehensible.
This video is surely the one you’ll remember, and maybe that’s exactly what director David Sims wanted to achieve.
Anyway this new ad video for Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection is full of schizophrenic vibe featuring the same guy in three different sequences running simultaneously [it helps create a crazy atmosphere]
So I don’t really see any fashion inside the video. Well, the only fashion related conclusion I can make is that next spring and summer men will continue wearing white boxers and navy blue baggy jeans.
I need to know your opinion, guys. Tell me what you think of McQueen’s new video masterpiece. Is it about fashion at all?
This video goes along with a look book, and the two actually replace a traditional runway presentation.
According to the source, the video “explores the creative process and the psychology behind it, which eventually leads him towards a journey into the mindset and wardrobe of an artist. Through this collaborative experiment, you get to sense the agony felt by an artist when exploring creative ideas.”
