Get bold and glam in spring 2009
As New Year celebrations are behind us, it’s time you focused on your glamorous and totally gorgeous look this year.
I’m thinking spring 2009. I’m thinking make up trends for the season.
Overall, spring 2009 is all about warm colors and flawless complexion. Foundations are described as transparent or covering and matte. The textures should be sparkling and fresh. And we see many last seasons’ trends make a comeback this spring. First of all, we get glossy lips as an option for matte ones, and we have a variety of smoky eyes to choose from. Besides, gold is back as a major spring 2009 makeup color trend, coming in all possible shades and present in everything from blushes to eyeshadows.
LIPS
No need to say your lips can either make you look absolutely stunning or spoil the impression, or even ruin it. This coming spring you have two contrasting lip trends to choose from – you can opt for bold red lips or get more natural with the nude lip, FemaleFirst reports.
Red lips rock in spring 2009! From scarlet reds to fuchsia red lips will help you create an eye-catching look to impress. And again, you can choose with the lip texture. Make it more glam and chic with matte red lips or go for something real hot with glossy lips that also make a comeback this spring and summer.
On the contrary, the nude lip in caramel and natural palette won’t distract attention from your eyes and healthy complexion. A nude lip is sexy, demure and allows the eyes to standout.
EYES
As mentioned above, gold is an it-color trend for spring 2009. Generally the eye make-up is bright, bold and sexy. Loads of mascara are your must-have for the season.
The major trend remains almost unchanged – smoky eyes are still huge. Smoky eyes are what you need to look dramatic and hot.
Smoky eyes come in three main trends. Metallic brown eyes look “expensive and timeless.” This look is your perfect choice if you intend to create a dramatic look but make it less edgy than last season’s pitch-black smoky eye look.
Next trend originates in 1970s. Bridget Bardot’s smoldering black eyes trend is back again. The key to the look is to apply enough black shadow to create a black latex look on the lids. Use eyeliner on the inner corner of the eye to help accentuate the hot look.
And finally, there’s so called constructed black eye trend, which is not about smudging or blending, but rather using lines to create a bold graphic look.
Whatever make up you prefer, make sure to love your look, your body and your personality. This is the only way to look absolutely stunning and beautiful any season of the year!
