Blake Lively as Marilyn Monroe for Gossip Girl’s 100th Episode

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester transformed into Marilyn Monroe and Adrey Hepburn in Gossip Girl’s upcoming 100th episode. Blake’s character Serena van der Woodson recreates the late Marilyn’s famous performance of Diamond’s are a Girl’s Best Friend from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes movie. She’s wearing a pink evening dress, matching elbow-length gloves and lots of glittering jewellery. Her Marilyn is completed with a blonde wig and bright make-up.

Leighton Meester, who portrays Blair Wardorf in Gossip Girl can be seen as Audrey Hepburn in her notorious classic-chick Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Leighton is in long black gown, opera gloves, tiara and of course dons jewelry.

Marilyn and Audrey scene which will be aired in the US on January 30 on The CW at 8/7central time, is a new dare for the Gossip Girl. Yahoo TV reported that according to executive producer Josh Safran, the scene is something he has always desired to film. He told the website:

It’s something we’ve never done before. From Season One, I said, “I want to do this.” But it just wasn’t the right time. I’ve been pushing it for five years, and it finally happened.”

Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass, Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey, and Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald, surrounding Blake and Leighton, are sporting costumes which consist of matching black tuxedos with cream waistcoats and bow ties, just like in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
