5 crazy celebrity fashion trends 2009
Leslie Gornstein from Los Angeles Times has released the list of five horrible 2009 fashion trends that must live forever saying they are “so bad they should be immortalized.”
Among the biggest crazy fashion ideas of the year the author names spiky dresses, Alexander McQueen shoes and thick frame glasses.
As to me, I’d definitely add leotards to the top 5 as after been introduced by Lady GaGa earlier this year, leotards have become an ultimate on/off stage must have for the likes of Britney Spears, Rihanna and even Beyonce.
So here are the crazy & horrible fashion trends ’09, according to LA Times:
1. Spiky dresses
They do look fierce and dangerous. The first spiky dress was publicly presented by Katy Perry at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 13th. She wore it in silver and looked really gorgeous.
Rihanna caught the trend’s crazy vibe and wore spiky dresses to present her new album Rated R in late November and to hang out in clubs with her friends. She took the trend further and expanded it to leather jackets.
2. McQueen’s armadillo shoes
I always said the 12 inch heel was crazy. Alexander McQueen’s shoe trend for Spring/Summer 2010 is not something you can wear while running errands round the town. Platform heels are for brave chicks only. So far, just two of them were crazy enough to wear them and try to walk in ’em – Lady GaGa in ‘Bad romance’ video and Daphne Guinesss for the Mac’s redcarpet appearance.
Crazy yet mesmerizing!
3. Braided beard a la Brad Pitt
This is a truly horrible Hollywood trend with Brad Pitt as the trendsetter. His braided and beaded facial scruff is an ultimate eye catcher whenever he goes.
Wanna turn a handsome guy into a Buddha crazy bum? Ask Brad how.
4. Michael Caine style thick frame glasses
Justin Timberlake, Kanye West and even Natalie Imbruglia are well known fans of this kind of eyewear. You must be pretty bold to wear big black frame and look great in it. Justin can do that cause he’s an ultimate cutie.
5. Crazy haircuts
I’m thinking Rihanna. Her new ‘do is quite original. Generally, Rihanna’s hair gets shorter and shorter with time so I won’t b surprised to see her go bold some time soon next year.
The “hair on top of the head, but none on the sides of the head” trend is also presented by Tobey Maguire in Brothers.
What other crazy trends you’d like to leave in 2009?

The haircut Tobey Maguire has in Brothers is not from some trend. That is called a high and tight, the pretty much standard for a lot of military personnel. Perhaps you should do a little research to talking trash?

The spikey dress rihannah is wearing was made by the blonds, she also wore work by them in her “disturbia” video, and on a few runways.
