Met Gala 2012

The 2012 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala — better known as the Met Gala — took place yesterday in New York. Bringing together some of the world’s biggest celebrities and designers, the event is among the most glamorous and celeb-studded nights of the year!

As for the style on the red carpet, the Met Gala is a kind of the Oscars: the fashion industry’s biggest moguls show their full glory. Celebrities, designers and industry big shots are the brightest in the star stratosphere, and the fashion is, huh, often very surprising!

This year’s gala, titled Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations, is a tribute to the influence of late designer Elsa Schiaparelli on Miuccia Prada.
