Worst Dressed at 2011 SAG Awards

It’s hard for me to say but there are cases when even Prada and Oscar de la Renta look awful – here are the worst dressed from last night’s 2011 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards

Thank God the list is short but it’s so eclectic it may hurt your eyes to look at these crazy looks from the SAG redcarpet.

I’d love to begin with Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) and her hot pink dress from Oscar de la Renta‘s Pre-Fall 2011 collection. The dress has certain things that I love and certain things that I hate. Like, I love the sophisticated bodice, I love the length but I can’t stand the uber bright color and the stupid black belt she paired with the designer gown. What was she thinking?

Glee‘s Jane Lynch in her Ali Rahimi dress reminds me of some elderly lady from old movies. The satin gown looks heavy and over-decorated, while the belt seems unfinished and totally out of place here.

However, I like the lilac color of the gown, though it does little to save Jane from the redcarpet disaster.

Young star Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) is making her first steps as a redcarpet diva so making some fashion faux pas is alright for somebody as young and inexperienced as Hailee, 14. Still, I can’t miss her Prada dress.

It’s obviously cute and bright and very girlie but though it’d look awesome on a day out with a family it looks ridiculous on the SAG redcarpet – obviously too bright and too girlie for the occasion. A super pretty summer dress is not always the best choice for a serious ceremony like Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Yesterday Kate Mara (127 Hours) wore one of the worst dresses I’d ever seen. From the color to the design and decoration – it’s just one big fashion mistake. The hair and the dirty pink headband made the look even more disastrous (just wondering if firing the stylist can help here.)
