Valentino: The last Emperor
Valentino is too big a fashion icon not to make a movie about.
It goes without saying some of your favorite A-listers could not miss such a glam event to flaunt more of Valentino dresses.
Gwyneth Paltrow was posing hand in hand with the maestro in a black strapless Valentino dress. I love the dress, and I actually like the way Gwyneth looks but there’s definitely something wrong with Valentino’s fake tan, don’t you think?
Victoria’s Secret’s navel-less Angel Karolina Kurkova also hit the event. I loved her super trendy wide belt and her head-to-toe elegant black outfit.
Agyness Deyn was gorgeous in black. Generally, there were a lot of black color outfits at the party but that was ok and didn’t really look like some kind of funeral ceremony. What I did like about Agyness is her platinum blonde hair and her longer do.
Though there was a lot of black at the party some of the guests opted for something neon bright. Socialite Tinsley Mortimer was fuchsia incredible
…while newly-engaged Claire Danes was girlie cute in that pale green neon dress with flower embellishment.
And here’s what I loved. Anne Hathaway was gorgeous in her one-shoulder white gown. Her dress was another proof that Anne’s a fashion icon herself.
Other celebs to hit the screening were Blythe Danner, Selita Ebanks, Padma Lakshmi, and Helena Christensen.
Valentino: The Last Emperor is a little bit more than a fashion movie, it’s your own look into life of the legendary designer. The documentary was directed and produced by Matt Tyrnauer, Special Correspondent for Vanity Fair magazine.
We were let in to the inner circle, but we had to stick it out for a long time, practically move in, to capture the truly great moments,” said Tyrnauer. “Valentino is surrounded by a tight-knit family of friends and employees, but, eventually, their guard came down and they forgot there was a camera crew in the room.”
