Stars open 2011 Cannes Film Festival in style

The 2011 Cannes International Film Festival opened yesterday in Cannes, France. Celebrities such as member of the jury panel Uma Thurman and Midnight In Paris star Rachel McAdams proved that white is the new black, opting to wear this color to the opening night events.

Uma Thurman looked fantastic in two white dresses, one by Dolce & Gabbana that she wore to the photo call and the second evening gown by Versace that she wore to the Midnight In Paris screening later in the day.

It’s sexy isn’t it,” Uma Thurman said about the Versace number. “I had to have it made because you know how it is for us tall girls. It’s impossible to find anything in a store. I feel so good wearing the dress, I hope I get a chance to dance. It’s a dress that moves well when you dance. I was doing a quiet little dance all by myself on the carpet just now,” she added.

Fellow actress Rachel McAdams who arrived in Cannes to present and promote Midnight In Paris, looked stunning at the movie’s photo call wearing a white dress by Maxime Simoens. The dress had fancy flower epaulettes and flower pockets on the both sides. Ultimately lovely!
